Memorial Day memorializes those who have perished while in defense of our country. While Tamaqua Remembers honors all who have served, the names below are specifically those residents of the Borough of Tamaqua who have made the supreme sacrifice.
Residents of the six townships surrounding Tamaqua Borough are memorialized at their corresponding township’s Memorial Day services.

Several sources were consulted in preparing this list, and criteria for inclusion is based on:
•        The names on the two Tamaqua war memorials
•        Names as cited in area newspapers’ list of casualties
•        The stated residence of the deceased
•        Government records

By clicking on the names or photos of these veterans below, you will display the images and tributes associated with them. You can also share your own memories, photos, videos or tributes of these men by creating an account or signing in with a Facebook account.

Do you have a family member or friend who served? Leave a tribute for ANY veteran, living or deceased and regardless of where they have lived, at our Veteran Tribute page

We are forever grateful for the many brave men and women who have fought and given so much to defend this great nation.
